Cartel Overview
The West Mafia began in the rougher parts of Los Santos, when a small group of street criminals came together to control local businesses and illegal operations. What started as a neighborhood crew grew into one of the most feared organizations in the city, hiding its headquarters behind a legitimate business front in Little Seoul.
Founded by Marco "West" Moretti, a former street hustler who built the crew through loyalty and intimidation, the organization passed to his younger brother, Anthony Moretti, after Marco disappeared following a major conflict with a rival gang. Under Anthony, the family expanded into a city-wide operation with reach across Vespucci, La Mesa, Downtown Los Santos, and Blaine County.
The Mafia's influence runs through drug and weapons trafficking, protection rackets, car theft, underground gambling, and street racing — all laundered through legitimate businesses like nightclubs, garages, restaurants, and real estate. Their biggest rivals are the Santos Kings, though they maintain alliances with smaller crews and corrupt business owners who benefit from Mafia protection.
